In all actuality the Harry Potter books were written for older children & adults not small children. I own every one & already have the new book ordered. I have also learned that the biggest critics in our family enjoy the series so much you won't get your books back. I would be very careful about even reading the books to little children because of some of the content that they can't comprehend yet. But for older kids & adults I highly recommend them. Everytime I get the newest book my family knows I won't put it down until dinner time. Since my children are 13 & 10 they fully understand that the faster I'm finished with it the sooner they can borrow it.
They are wonderful books for children that need a little help with their reading skills. My niece had lead poisioning from a home where her landlord never notified her parents about lead paint. She took 4 weeks to read the 1st book when she was 12. By the time the 3rd book came out she had read the first 2 so many times her copies were falling apart. Thanks to her love of Harry Potter she read the 3rd book in 4 days!
grrr.... they make it sound like all hp fans are four in fact we are not that;s just stupid that face that lady made was like a face my parents make to my sister and harry does not look like that anymore i just got the wii game ootp and it has a poster inside dang they be getting hot!!!!! it has all the Da on it but ya not all hp fans are 10
Seriously that w as so stupid. I hate when they make it look like its only suited for small kids.
I mean...I read them at first when i was 11 and i didnt get the half of it, though I was a good reader.
I think HP's true nature is first to be understood when you are a bit older, like 14-16 and up. Harry Potter books are beautiful in many ways, it lies between the lines. Mainly the young kids only get the cooler stuff in the books, like quidditch, the main plot and that. But there is so much more than that in the books.
I'm sure that those two hostesses had NO IDEAD what the editor was even talking about! GET IT STUPID HOSTESSES, ITS MAINLY TEENAGERS AND ADULTS WHO READ THE BOOKS!!!! :)
