An Evening with Harry Carrie and Garp - Part 1

Part one of a video from J K Rowling's reading with Stephen King and John Irving in August 2006. This clip begins with a short montage of interviews, images and film clips which was shown at the charity reading in New York. We then see Jo enter the stage to applause and cheers from the audience to whom she points out her fabulous snake-like shoes! She then introduces her reading from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince whilst jokingly warning the audience not to cheer at the mention of Voldemort. We then hear her give a wonderful 15 minute reading from Chapter 13 where Dumbledore first visits Tom Riddle at his orphanage.
