Alan Rickman 'Snow Cake' Preview
Preview of the recently released (10/06) film starring Alan Rickman, Sigourney Weaver and Carrie-Anne Moss.
This absolutely *wonderful* preview shows the general plotline of a struggling individual (Rickman) briefly befriending a young woman and givng her a ride before they get into a terrible automobile accident where the young woman loses her life. The character played by Rickman, bereft with guilt finds and befriends her autistic mother and family. This clip really gives us yet another side of Rickman, and tells a deeply emotional and yet sometimes very amusing story of personal redemption and growth while struggling with loss.

quite an interesting movie.... really shows alan with a totally
diff perspective... kinda weird, actually
this movie is absolutely brilliant! i live 2 towns away from wawa in a small town called marathon. wawa is portrayed in the movie a bit different than it actually is. for example, when alex is dropped off at the goose, that isnt very realistic because its about 2 miles outside of town. so you would have to walk a whiles to get to town from the "bus stop." also, when alex asks if the bus is still running...there ISNT a bus system in wawa..or the next town..or my town..or ANY town around here..we're too small.
its small things like that that people around here will pick up on when its released in canada. i downloaded my copy a couple months ago and it is amazing.
as soon as its released i'll be buying it.
the acting is amazing on all parts, the story is well written and captures you completely. the soundtrack is unexpectedly amazing. lots of underground, indie music..goes with the indie film i guess.
rickman is perfect and has great chemistry with canadas own carrie-anne moss.
all in all it NEEDS to be seen
I can't wait to see this movie. I've always enjoyed Sigourney Weaver's work, but the draw--for me--is Alan Rickman. He is the very best at his craft. He doen't portray a character, he becomes that character. His appeal is ageless.
