I watched it again, and yes there's Emma. She walked right behind her.(The turquoise dress right?)

Where's Emma? Sure Dan and Rupert but Emma turned up as well didn't she? Please overlook the fact that I wasn't there so I can't say she did, but it's most likely

HA! Ya Emma was right there. That reporter needs to remember Hermione! I mean come on! She is just as awesome as Harry and Ron! Anyway, I LOVE HP! And am very excited for the movie and book. But that video was a little snobbish on the reporters part.

Well that was harsh...but then again what would you expect from channel 5, the channel which broadcast questionable material at 12pm. (Ok they do have good shows too but we do have 4 other channels for that too..This made me cross...and I say Americans are great)

I think the reporter is simply under-informed and under-enthusiastic about Potter. I don't think it was a nationality thing. If she were a fan, she'd know all about Leaky and she'd know that Melissa is top rank and deserves respect. Basically FIVE News should have chosen a different reporter who could stoke the excitement felt by the Potter fandom. Instead they chose someone who obviously isn't waiting for a pre-ordered book seven with baited breath.

Never mind. You're right, I am too thin-skinned right now, and overly sensitive. It would take too long to explain why I feel the way I do right now. Like I said, I suppose the reporter did what she did unintentionally, and it wasn't some HUGE insult or anything, but...please show a little respect for Melissa and Sue, even if you don't like Americans. At least maybe mention Melissa's name, as she runs one of the most famous Harry Potter websites in the world, has her own podcast, and was one of the few invited to actually meet in person with Rowling because of her dedication to all things Potter. Don't just refer to them as "those Americans".

I need to defend the reporter. If I were American maybe I'd feel offended too, but as it is, I think that some of you are over-sensitive.American fans are absolutely great and are well-known for their devotion, dressing up, spending money to travel to distant premieres etc. It just doesn't strike anyone as extraordinary that so many US fans came from sooo far. Now, if there are fans from Spain or Germany who came only to see the red carpet, that really stands out.(because there usually is so little of them, it's either Brits or Americans.)No need to feel offended.
threebead says....
If you cover the red carpet, we want to see the actors and celebs as well as the fans. Without the famous personalities, this was a waste of time.
