Afternoon all!
I stopped home on my lunch break and figured I’d pop in here to say hello. As I was scrolling down to type my comment, I noticed Hedwig’s name and paused to read because I thought it might be about Melissa’s post on her Harry, A History website. Have any of you been checking in there? If not, I recommend taking a peek from time to time. The site is harryahistory.com (and hopefully this will post since I didn’t include the www). She’s going to be posting extra info that didn’t make it into the book. Anyway, the reason I brought it up now is that she posted her first “extra” bit this week, and it’s about Hedwig. :)
As far as CoolG’s question, I agree with Laura – I think it was part of Hedwig’s magic. I remember reading or hearing a discussion similar to this once and someone said something about picturing Hedwig going to Privet Dr and just pecking at the Dursleys until they finally gave her something to bring to Harry, so that’s the image I’ve got in my mind! ;)
Okay, I’ve got to head back to work now; talk to you later!
